Jabbawocky Crafts Village - Craft Markets

Jabbawocky Crafts Village is a modern craft and art market featuring a carefully curated selection of handmade products from skilled local crafters and artisans. Are you a talented crafter, artist, or artisan interested in applying to join Jabbawocky Crafts Village? If so, then the application forms will be available soon. In the meantime, please read the guidelines below

Applying for Jabbawocky Crafts Village Events

The basics (read this first)

  • We will be using Eventaly to manage applications for our 2026 events.

  • Please Sign Up for / log in to a stallholder account in order to apply for Jabbawocky Crafts Village Events.

  • Once you have created your crafters profile, Eventaly will make applying, accepting offers, reviewing status, paying invoices, sharing event information etc clearer and faster for everyone.

  • You are still applying to Jabbawocky Crafts Village – Eventaly is simply the system we use.

If you can fill in a form, read emails, and pay an invoice, you’ll be absolutely fine 🙂

Our golden rule (very important)

👉 Everything you sell must be handmade or handcrafted by you.

  • No bought-in goods

  • No mass-produced items

  • No factory-made products

If you’re not sure whether your items qualify, ask us before applying.

How applying works (step by step)

  1. Create an Eventaly Stallholder account
This is quick and free (sign up for a Stallholder Account)

  2. Create your profile (Business details)
Enter details of your business, contact details, description of what you make, etc into your Eventaly profile. This only needs to be done once, but can be updated again should you wish. You also need to attach a current certificate of insurance and valid risk assessment.

  3. Apply for the events you’re interested in
Log in to Eventaly, then return to this page and click the application link in the event list above. This will take you to the event in Eventaly where you can select the relevant dates/stall type you wish to apply for, confirm you accept the terms and conditions (shown in Eventaly), and click send application. That's it!

  4. We review applications
We carefully curate our markets to ensure they remain high-quality and well-balanced.

  5. If you’re offered a place
You will receive a notification once your application has been reviewed (and you can check status of all applications with us at any time in the Eventaly portal). This service is free when you apply for a stallholder position at Jabbawocky Craft Village Events.

  6. Accept the offer, and pay by the deadline
Please accept your space (or decline if no longer able to attend). This helps us manage demand. Your place is only secured once the invoice (or deposit) is paid. Details will be on the invoice, but generally we require a deposit to secure the position, and the final payment is due up to 90 days before the event.

Please don’t skip this bit 👇

  • Offers expire if they’re not accepted and paid in time (see date on invoice)

  • If we don’t hear from you, we will assume you no longer want the space

  • Unpaid offers may be withdrawn and given to another crafter

This helps us be fair to everyone.

Invoices and payments

  • Invoices are issued through Eventaly

  • Events require at least a deposit to secure your place

  • Payment deadlines are clearly shown – please stick to them

💡 If you’re having a genuine problem, tell us early. Silence causes issues.

Communication

Please:

  • Read your emails (including junk folders)

  • Respond if you can’t make an event or need more time

  • Keep your Eventaly details up to date

We’re friendly humans, not robots – just talk to us.

FAQs

Does applying mean I definitely get a place?

No.
We curate our markets carefully. This means:

  • Not every application is accepted

  • Sometimes great makers miss out due to space or category balance

This helps keep events strong for everyone.

What if my application is declined?

It may be because:

  • The event was oversubscribed

  • We already had enough similar traders

  • We didn’t feel the application met our handmade criteria

You’re welcome to apply again for future events.

What happens if I don’t pay or respond?

  • Your offer may be cancelled

  • Future applications may be affected

  • If we do offer you places again, stricter payment terms may apply

We don’t enjoy doing this – but we do need a fair system.

Can I cancel after accepting an offer?

Yes, but note that terms apply. Always check the terms and conditions (shown in Eventaly at the point of application) and tell us as soon as possible.

I’m stuck – who do I contact?

If you’re confused, stuck, or unsure:

  • Email us - debbie@jabbawockycrafts.co.uk

  • Don’t panic

  • We’ll help

Final word

We try to run Jabbawocky Crafts Village as a community, not just a business.
Eventaly helps us stay organised, fair, and transparent – so genuine handmade crafters aren’t disadvantaged by poor communication or unpaid places.
